FRESH FROM THE RECENTLY WRAPPED AWARDS CIRCUIT, James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown and Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain make their streaming debut in the Philippines on Disney+. Both films were nominated for multiple Oscars, with the latter bagging Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role with Kieran Culkin (Succession).
A Complete Unknown chronicles Bob Dylan’s arrival to New York as an unknown artist, preceding his meteoric rise as one of the most indelible presence in American music. Timothée Chalamet gave an award-winning performance (and was nominated for an Oscar) as Dylan; he won the award at the 31st SAG Awards, where he made his candid speech about the “pursuit of greatness.”
A Real Pain follows bereaved cousins who reunite for a tour through Poland in honor of their recently-passed grandma. Culkin, as mentioned, won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Oscars.

Both films start streaming on Disney+ in the Philippines this month: A Complete Unknown starting March 27th. A Real Pain dropped on the streaming platform last week, March 19th.
Apart from this pair of films, Disney+ also has in its library a handful of other Oscar-nominated films, including Wes Ball’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Fede Álvarez’s Alien: Romulus, which are both nominated for Best Visual Effects. There’s also the NatGeo documentary Sugarcane, the animation sequel Inside Out, and the docu-biopic Elton John: Never Too Late — each one nominated for their respective categories.
